WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RENTAL ITEM AT PEP, AND WHY?
Our Nesting Swing Chairs- I absolutely love the concept of creating relaxing and cozy spaces for events and our Nesting Swing Chair is the perfect option for that!
IF IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY, WHAT WOULD THE THEME BE, AND WHAT COLOR PALETTE AND PEP PROPS/DECOR WOULD YOU USE?
I love a beachy theme- having grown up around Sunset Cliffs, I spent many summer days and evenings on the beach. I love a natural, beachy palette and to be surrounded by candles, driftwood, and fresh flowers.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN WHEN NOT WORKING?
When I am not at work, you can find me paddleboarding at Crown Point, cheering my kids on at their water polo tournaments all over Southern California, exploring San Diego’s newest restaurants with friends (love me a popup!), or watching a Padres game with my husband.
TELL US ABOUT THE MOST UNIQUE EVENT THEME YOU’VE EVER WORKED ON.
It would be hard to choose from the events I have worked on prior to my time at PEP, but I am excited to work with our team here to knock out some incredible events!
WHAT’S THE HARDEST THING ABOUT EVENT PRODUCTION?
The ability to always have a solution. My mentor really stressed “there are no problems, only opportunities” during events and it is a mantra that has kept me nimble and developed my ability to come up with viable solutions during events.
TELL US YOUR BACKGROUND – WHAT’S YOUR STORY ABOUT GETTING INTO EVENTS, AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY & AT PEP?
I have been both volunteering and working with nonprofits in San Diego since 2004. Initially, I started in the accounting field, but gradually moved more towards strategic business operations development. Because of the nature of nonprofits, I have always been a “no task too small” kind of person. My role has always been to support my clients and colleagues, regardless of title, which led me to jumping into the event world. Initially I started with the Thursday Club of San Diego, helping put together annual fundraisers for local nonprofits. But eventually it spread over to my professional world where I was helping plan, organize, and execute large scale events like golf tournaments, demolition derbies, and galas. I made the leap from the nonprofit world to PEP in spring 2026 and am excited to support our PEP team as they create magic for our clients. “As a collaborative leader, you support people in their work- you remove roadblocks and help them win.” -Kenneth Blanchard
