WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RENTAL ITEM AT PEP, AND WHY?
Favorite rental item are kaleidoscope arches. They are clean looking and the programmable LED lighting makes them very modern and versatile. They are simple objects but can deliver a big impact to an event.
IF IT WAS YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY, WHAT WOULD THE THEME BE, AND WHAT COLOR PALETTE AND PEP PROPS/DECOR WOULD YOU USE?
I would like to do a dinosaur jungle theme adventure party for me and all of the kids. Maybe some more props would need to be built for this to make it over the top😊
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN WHEN NOT WORKING?
I like to do woodworking, play golf, have a nice cigar and hang out with any dog in the neighborhood. All on the same day if possible.
TELL US ABOUT THE MOST UNIQUE EVENT THEME YOU’VE EVER WORKED ON.
I would have to say the Jurassic park theme for a local casino. It’s not often that someone asks you to build a life size prehistoric looking entrance gate complete with working doors and fire bowls. It’s an impressive piece to maintain and set up. We also created a dinosaur egg incubation chamber with lights and fog. Really a fun theme to work on.
WHAT’S THE HARDEST THING ABOUT EVENT PRODUCTION?
Time. There is never enough time in the day when you are creating. It always seems to come down to the last day to get everything just right.
TELL US YOUR BACKGROUND – WHAT’S YOUR STORY ABOUT GETTING INTO EVENTS, AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY & AT PEP?
I worked for a major hotel chain for 28 years in the event management department. I started at PEP 4+ years ago and look forward to many more adventures in the future. I have managed so many great and unique events and parties that nothing is truly a surprise. It is a different job every day, similar to the work I do now for PEP.
